HELP!!

In process - I need your help!
Posted by PicasaDoes anyone know how to "set" the chalk on this layout? I used regular sidewalk chalk on black cardstock. I rubbed it in - but it is still not "set". I know as an art project as a kid we'd spray it with hair spray - but I don't think that will work for a layout. The pictures are not adhered yet - so I can spray it easily enough - but not sure what to spray it with. ANYONE know?
Thanks for any help!

  2. really cute.. maybe you can try ,... using enbossing ink or versa marc and then sprinkle clear untra embossing powder and set the chalk.. try it first on a swatch.. maybe that will work.. but its a wonderful layout...

  3. I went to check out the fixative that was recommended at 2Peas. It's $10 and would last forever! I just can see paying that for something I will probably only use once. I guess the chalk will just have to be smeary!

  4. How about applying a layer of Modge Podge over it? I'd try it on a scrap first to see if it works, but that's the only idea I have.

  5. Krylon makes a spray fixative, I got it at Michael's. Not sure if it will work for this, but just thought I would mention it.

  6. Thanks Shirley - I checked out the fixative at the stores - but am not willing to pay $10 to spray on one layout. I would probably never use it again. So, the chalk will just have to be a little smeary!

Thanks for the idea though. And thanks for coming by!
