Whoo Hooo I won!

I'm excited that I won the challenge of the week at Practical Scrappers - but am disappointed that I was not chosen for the design team. I really thought I would make a great design team member for them - because after all "I am the practical scrapper" most the time! Oh well, I'll just keep trying!

Practical Scrappers Challenge - GOOFY

The challenge was to use punches. I used circle punches for the boarder! Thanks for looking!

Butterfly

This is for both the Scrap This Croptoberfest challenge "Journal the Moment" - note the hidden journaling; and Sketchy Thursday weekly Challenge. The title is on a transparency and didn't photograph very well - it says "What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls a Butterfly. Thanks for Looking. I LOVE COMMENTS!

Busted Again!

Posted by Picasa

What a fun layout! Looking kind of trashy right? There is a reason for that. This is my Sketchy Thursday Challenge entry based on this sketch. It is also my Practical Scrappers Challenge that required the use of office supplies. I used staples, paperclips, binder clips, spiral paperclips, a rubberband, a "Hello my name is" sticker - and lots of trash. This is the actual letter and the pictures we recieved from the Neighborhood Association for not putting our trash can behind the fence - my embelsihments are all scraps or trash. Not sure how archival this is - but it's not really a page that will be cherished 100 years from now - or will it? Thanks for looking!

Sweet - Creative Scrappers 1 hour challenge

Posted by Picasa

This was my entry in the 1 hour challenge. It was fun but crazy! It started at 8:00 here - Niko's bedtime. I got him pretty well settled in before it started. The next issue was my stuff was still packed from this weekend... So I had to look for my scissors, cutter, circle cutter, cuttlebug, never did find a zig writer.
The cookies are actually a car deodarizer (you know the thing that hangs down off the mirror to make your car smell like a tree). It just happend to be sitting out. The green sprinkles are actually the real thing (not too acid free) - it's okay they aren't glued on. This was a lot of fun - but sure makes me have to think of shortcuts - no tracing letters and cutting each one out separately by hand!

Some of my latest Layouts

Retreat

The retreat was awsome. I was able to complete 19 pages - and start a few. Surprisingly enough I only forgot a few things. Which meant 3 of my layouts had to be put aside. But I still didn't run out, and only had 1 pre-planned layout that I didn't get to. I hope to be able to post some of my layouts soon.

All my bags are packed - I'm ready to go!

This is why I scrap at home!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm off to a weekend retreat with my best friend to celebrate my B-day. I have probably over 20 semi planned pages - I probably won't get them all done - but there is always that FEAR that I'll run out of things to scrap. It has never happened before - but there is always a first time.
Talk to ya all on Sunday!
Have a great weekend.Posted by Picasa

Happy Birthday to ME!

Today is my Birthday -
Bob, LeAnn and the kids had a surprise B-day party for me last night. It would have been more of a surprise had I not run into them in Target....
Each of the kids picked out something from the scrapbook aisle. The silver letter stickers are from Niko, the fall stickers are from Jonathan and the chipboard letters are from Madeline. I guess they know their Meme is a Scrappinpsycho!

Gift

Posted by PicasaThis is my layout for the Sketchy Thursday Challenge. It is also my layout for the Practical Scrappers Challenge of the week. We were challenged to use lace cardstock. I did not have any lace cardstock - so I used a felt doily from Martha Stewart (from Big Lots). It also fits into the Frosted Designs challenge to use fabric this week - The doily is actually felt!

Check in Contest Continues!

Just leave a comment and note what # visitor you are for a chance for a prize. See contest details in post of October 10th.

Look what we did today!

Trying to get 3 kids all looking in the right direction - without making a silly face is about impossible. At least it was today. At least it stopped raining long enough to be out and the sun didn't make anyone squint! Hopefully, I'll share more pictures later - as actual layouts!
