Augst Re-Do Challenge for Scrap Our Stash

I actually completed something for the August Re-Do Challenge. 


I'm not one to re-do pages.  I usually work on them until I'm happy with the result (which sometimes means days).  But lately, I've been in more "just get 'er done mode".  This was one of those pages.  I actually was "Pagerizing" this from a magazine - but in the process lost my notes - and don't know which magazine and since I have hundreds to chooses from - it just kinda got stuck back in my album as if it were complete.  Everytime someone looked at it - I felt I had to appologize for how "Unfinished" it was.  But, didn't know how to finish it.  So, I took this Challenge as my inspiration to Finish it.  It is still far from a favorite page - but it's done without feeling like it was just one of those slap the  pictures on the page and be done with it layouts.  The title says:  My Favorites Under the Tree.  That was another issue (how many pages can you title - decorating the tree).  By the way, I may not have that issue this Christmas (but I'm too embarrased to tell you why).

Came upon this picture - can't believe I hadn't deleted it!  This was actually taken 5 months before I started Weight Watchers - so I am probably not at my heaviest here!

I'm feeling much better about ONLY loosing 49 pounds.  Thanks for the motivation MOM!  Love Ya!

After Kick Boxing

Not quite the Before and After pictures I'd like to share - but, "it is what it is".  When I was taking pictures of Niko this morning for his First Day of 3RD grade - he decided to take one of me.  Not too bad - and I'm due for a picture to show my weight loss (49 lbs as of this AM).  Then when I was coming home from Kick Boxing and was sure I was going to DIE.  I thought it might be a good idea to have a LAST picture of me before I die of exhaustion.  Although the After picture makes me look like I've gained 75 pounds I think it might be from the 2 gallons of water and  Diet Cherry Limeade that I drank.  I hope it also had something to do with the angle at which Niko took the picture. Bob assures me I don't really look like that (he's well trained).  He's really had to bite his tongue to keep from telling me I've lost a TON of weight!

This is an old picture of Niko on Papa's shoulders that I submitted for the Red, White and Blue Challenge at Scrap Our Stash.  I kind of strayed from the Red, White and Blue theme - but I at least got it done - finally!

What an awesome God I serve

This has not been my best week ever - well it wasn't at the beginning of the week anyway!  This song tells it all - when I asked God to tell me what to do - and that He'd have to talk REAL LOUD because, I wasn't really believing He was there - He SPOKE VERY LOUD - VERY CLEAR - and at just the right time.  He is soooooo awesome.  BLESSINGS!

If you are going through a trial that you don't think you can handle -  it may his Mercy in disguise! - ask Him to help!  HE will!

Giddy Up Cowgirl

I created this layout for  Lea's Pagerize This Challenge # 10 at Scrap Our Stash.   I  knew I wanted to pagerize it. But how? So I decided to dump this jar of "random stuff" and use only things from the jar as my Random design on the right hand side of the page. I used only "random stuff" that I had. Thus the random fonts ect. It's hard to tell from the picture - but the title came from the fact that the Little Princess is wearing her cowboy (or should I say cowgirl) boots.

Almost Impossible

I actually scrapped a page this weekend!  It is a combo "Pagerize This & May Challenge for Scrap Our Stash. 


We almost totally missed getting pictures in the bluebonnets last year - so this was kind of a last minute trip down the street. No pre-planned matching outfits - or even bothering to comb their hair. The kids were pretty much un-cooperative when it came to posing - thus the Title - Almost Impossible. The rest of the journaling says "to take a decent picture of the 3 of you! I also combined the May Flower Challenge and used a few of my flowers from my stash.

The Scrap Inn business Cards

Here is a picture of my pre-business card.  It's funny - I was thinking I need a theme color combo - kinda like FedEx - or UPS. Hot pink and lime green are two of my favorite colors together - plus the whole theme of the card goes perfectly with the Scrappinpsycho's Asylum don't you think! 

The idea of this card - will be to hand them out now - in order to promote The Scrap Inn - even before it's open. I plan to hand these out to everyone I see in the scrapbook aisles of Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's & Michaels.  Or, I guess I should say - to anyone who will take one.  This will at least give them a way to contact me - and to keep up with the progression of The Scrap Inn!  Wanna' know more about The Scrap Inn? - Go to Diary of the Scrap Inn

My take on the February Love Challenge for Scrap Our Stash

The challenge is to do something to do with LOVE - so here is mine:
These are my LOVES - just some random pictures of Niko, Jonathan & Madeline - each with a hat!  What's not to love about them? 


This was a piece of paper I got ages ago (using my Stash - which I love) - on clearance of course (I always love a bargain). 


The Little Things and embelies at the bottom were printed right on the page (which I love because I didn't have to do much).  All I did was add the pictures and the words What Matters?  (which I love because it was super simple) cut with Lipstick Sizzix dies (which is a font I love).

The Latest

I was on the internet looking at property until 3:30 AM - waiting for more information on them.  Found the perfect place - too bad it's 95 miles away!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purchased some glasses, a welcome sign, and some "Fiesta Ware" looking plates.

Update

Not doing great at all of my goals - but I have made some progress!

I did a ton of laundry this weekend - now it's ready to do again!

The clean dishes need to be put away - and the dishwasher re-loaded.  I did clean up the kitchen on Saturday.

I've been putting layouts in 12 x 12 postbound albums - which has been very time consuming - I've completed 2006 and am 1/2 way through with 2007.  Makes me realize I need to do some layouts for May of 2007 - plan to order pictures before the sale is over at Wallgreens.

I tracked my points everyday except Sunday (Super Eat Sunday)...  Didn't do horrible - but ate things I have no idea how to track.  Still lost .4 this week... That's 2 weeks in a row of loss!  Hope I'm on a roll there.

Practiced my piano - a couple of times last week - haven't done any yet this week and lessons are tomorrow!  So guess what I should be doing instead of blogging!

Didn't achieve a lot yesterday - but I did - TRACK, stayed within my points and about 20 minutes of activity!

Resolutions NOT!

I am not one to make resolutions - because I know I won't keep them.  Besides, your suppose to make them on January 1st - and by the 31st you've forgotten what they were.  So, instead I'm going to set some atainable goals for me to meet on a regular basis.  And I'm going to attempt to post my status regularly.  This is my first goal - to set some goals - and then to post them:

Post to Scrappinpsycho regularly - if for no other reason than to post the status of my goals

Track my Weight Watcher's Points - Daily

Stay within my points - Daily

Be active - 30 minutes per day

Scrapbook  (365 pages for 2011)

Practice my piano - 3 times per week

1 load of laundry - per day (wash, dry, fold & put away)

Keep up with the dishes - daily

Pay bills - on time

Work on my DREAM

Make a difference in someone's life - as often as possible

Okay - that should keep me busy for awhile
