Maybe Tomorrow!
Man, I need to get some scrapping done - or at least planned. Once again the evening got away from me - and I never even set foot into the Asylum. Maybe tomorrow!

All the World Loves a Clown
This is for the Frosted Design Paper Piecing Challenge and also for the December Scrap Challenge at Scrap Our Stash.
The clown was actually an OLD die cut that I used as a pattern. His face is drawn freehand, with a little red pompom nose - his hat is actually an OLD sticker and the paper - of course is an OLD 8 1/2 x 11 sheet fromt he dark ages! Great use of my STASH!
Don't ya just love clowns?

Merry Christmas
Just want to wish you all a Merry Christmas. It seems like the whole meaning of Christmas has been more of a reality this year. It's been much less hectic. It just seems like all the Christmas songs have been even more meaningful for me this year. I cried as I really listened to the words of:
"We are the Reason"
As little children we would dream of Christmas morn
And all the gifts and toys we knew we'd find
But we never realized a baby born one blessed night
Gave us the greatest gift of our lives
And we were the reason that He gave His life
We were the reason that He suffered and died
To a world that was lost He gave all He could give
To show us the reason to live
As the years went by we learned more about gifts
And giving of ourselves and what that means
On a dark and cloudy day a man hung crying
in the rain
Because of love, because of love
And we are the reason that He gave His life
We are the reason that He suffered and died
To a world that was lost He gave all He could give
To show us the reason to live
I finally found the reason for living
It's in giving every part of my heart to Him
In all that I do every word that I say
I'll be giving my all just for Him
For Him
And we are the reason that He gave His life
We are the reason that He suffered and died
To a world that was lost He gave all He could give
To show us the reason to live
He is my reason to live

Amy Grant's song "I need a silent night" has also been especially meaningful:
I've made the same mistake before
Too many malls, too many stores
December traffic, Christmas rush
It breaks me till I push and shove
Children are crying while mothers are trying
To photograph Santa and sleigh
The shopping and buying and standing forever in line
What can I say?
I need a silent night, a holy night
To hear an angel voice through the chaos and the noise
I need a midnight clear, a little peace right here
To end this crazy day with a silent night
December comes then disappears
Faster and faster every year
Did my own mother keep this pace
Or was the world a different place?
Where people stayed home wishing for snow
Watching three channels on their TV
Look at us now rushing around
Trying to buy Christmas peace
I need a silent night, a holy night
To hear an angel voice through the chaos and the noise
I need a midnight clear, a little peace right here
To end this crazy day with a silent night
What was it like back there in Bethlehem
With peace on earth, good will toward men?
Every shepherd's out in the field
Keeping watch over their clock by night
And the glory of the Lord shone around them
And they were so afraid
And the angels said fear not for behold
I bring you good news of a great joy that shall be for all people
For unto you is born this day a Savior, who is Christ the Lord
And his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace
I need a silent night, a holy night
To hear an angel voice through the chaos and the noise
I need a midnight clear, a little peace right here
To end this crazy day with a silent night
To end this crazy day with a silent night

If you are unaware that "We are the Reason" - I hope you will take the time to have a silent night - and discover this reality!

Finally did a little scrapping!
Not much. I layed out 3 simple pages - that I'll do at one of my upcoming crops - and then actually put a picture on a page - and almost completely cut out the title. Nothing great - but it will soon be done.

Scrapping? What is that?
Okay, I've lost my scrapping mojo! I think it's burried under all the stuff in my Asylum. I did spend last Friday night Scrap Night sorting all my scraps! I'm almost done. I'm hoping that will help my scrapping process. I usually scrap by color - so if I can go directly to a certain color scraps that will make things easier!
Things are going well at Scrap Our Stash Challenge we have had several readers submit projects and our Design Team continues to create fabulous projects. Our $$Frugal Friday Tips$$ have been very awesome - and we now have 30 followers... What could be better??
If you were one of our followers (hint, hint)!
Okay, better get busy!
Later,
Kathy

Home
This is my Scrap Our Stash December Challenge project. The challenge was that at least 50% of your project must be scrapped with SCRAPS!
Well, if you know me - you know that part was not difficult at all. Most of my projects are made out of a majority of scraps - it's much harder for me to use a full sheet of paper! Thus - the challenge for everyone else to be like me!
This is actually a lift from TWO PEAS IN A BUCKET
Come check out the challenge - and do your own SCRAP project. See all the details at

You Better Not POUT!
A picture of Niko having a meltdown after getting hit in the back of the head with a snowball. What would you expect from a Texan...
I did this for the 2Peas on-line crop. The challenge was to use the lyrics or title of a Christmas song. Thought this fit perfectly.
Sorry for the bad picture - it's difficult to get decent pictures in my Asylum at night.
Now, I need to get my Scrap Our Stash December Scrap Challenge finished...
Then, I have to clean my Asylum - it is soooo out of control. I've decided I can't scrap until I get it cleaned up... Hope I get to scrap again this year.
Thanks for looking!

2Peas On Line-crop!
The challenge was to do a layout about a list... So as usual I twisted it a little - and scrapped about Why I Don't make Lists... The page says: My List of reasons I don't make lists. 1. I'd have to find something to write with. 2. I'd have to find something to write on. 3. I'd forget what the list was for. 4. I'd loose the list. 5. I'd never know if I completed the list or not because it would be lost. The smaller list says: My List
1. Find a pen. 2. Find paper. 3. What was this list for? 4. Find my List. 5. Oh well! Maybe next time!

Oh Christmas Tree
My favorite kidos's decorating the Christmas tree with "Toy Story" toys. They did a great job of getting them all on - but later Jonathan decided he should play with them. So he took all the ornaments (toys) he could reach off the tree. He was having a great time - but the hangers were getting in his way - so he started asking us to take them off. After the 2nd one - we convinced him they had to stay on.
I love this time of year!
Not Much Scrapping Done!
I haven't gotten much scrapping done - too much time spent over at Scrap Our Stash Challenge. I am still working on my house layout - it will be my December challenge - to scrap with SCRAPS. Hope to get it done soon. Then the trick will be getting a decent picture of it - seems how it's been rainy around here.
Also gotta finish getting more Christmas decorating done. Niko filled the Advent Calendar with candy (Halloween Trick or Treat Candy) last night. So at least that's done. Now he's bugging to hang the stockings. He's decided that he doesn't want the "train" stocking anymore - he found a huge fluffy stocking - he decided that should be his this year. Then he confessed - it will hold a lot more....
Gotta love him!
Maybe I'll get some pictures of the tree posted - while there are still a few (toy story) ornaments on it. We've re-decorated at least twice now.
We'll see!
