Only 9 days til "our" first Scrap Our Stash Challenge. I'm getting sooo excited. The Design Team has all been revealed - and they are an awesome team. In all kinds of ways. They have all stepped up to make this a team effort. Robin seems to be our tech contributor - besides her awesome scrapping talent. And I know I can count on Joni anytime I need a layout or something to post. Each and everyone of them have been supportive of any "idea" I've had - and have either pushed it further - or pulled me back in. Good to the Last SCRAP

I finally made a design team - The assignment was to be creative and submit a project that represented our STASH. So here is my submission - it is not only a picture of my STASH - it's also depicts Scrapping my Stash.

Not Much Scrapping Done!

But I actually spent Friday night filing layouts in chronological order in the 3 ring binders. The pile of layouts is what I have left to file. I can't believe I got this far behind. Hopefully I'll be able to stay current once these are all filed. (Yeah Right!) Thanks for looking!

Scrap Our Stash Design Team Call

The Scrap Our Stash Challenge will start December 1st. I hope to have a great Design Team to contribute layouts and projects as inspiration. That's where you come in. If you would like to be considered for the Design Team please follow these steps:

1. Send an email to Scrappinpsycho@live.com with the following information:
Your name, a link to your blog (if you have one) or a gallery where your work can be viewed (if you have one).
2 Attach 2 of your favorite projects (layouts, cards, altered items etc.)
3. Complete your STASH project - this is to be anything you want to do that has something to do with your stash. Be creative - the only stipulation is that you must be able to submit a picture.
4. Briefly explain what your idea or understanding of what being on a design team should entail.

All submissions must be rec'd by Midnight (central time) on November 14th

Guess WHOOOO Won!

Whooo HOOO! My What a Hoot (even though I forgot the !) was chosen as winner of the Stuck On U Sketch Challenge. Didn't win Practical Scrappers :( - and Frosted Designs isnt posted yet.
Anyway, this was another fun challenge - totally (well not totally) but sorta outside my box. I've never quite gone for the whole OWL thing - but now I'm hooked. I'll probably put owls on all my pages for the next month - there are so many cool OWL titles. I guess I should make a list!

Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf???????

Maddie Girl sings this to the point that she had become "I scared" about everything. I think that's the problem with some of us sometimes - we're afraid to try new things - such as try out for a design team. That old "I'm not good enough" - "What if I don't get choosen?" lies go through our mind - and keep us from stepping out and trying. How often do we tell our kids - "Try it, You'll like it" or "You'll never know if you don't try" or "You can't win if you don't play"...
Soooo, here is my challenge to you - put all those self defeating lies behind you and step outside your comfort zone - and do something you've been afraid to do. It might even be - submitting your entry for the Scrap Our Stash Design Team. Details are below - don't let them scare you - the requirements are really quite simple and YOU CAN DO IT!

SCRAP OUR STASH

My soon to be Challenge blog has a name! SCRAP OUR STASH or SOS for short!

I was leaning for scrap your crap - but thought better of that one... Hope you like the name - I wanted something kind of ketchy! Anyone want to write us a jingle!

I've been putting together the guidelines and plans - can't wait to share.

The Design Team (DT) will be announced starting on November 15th. The 1st challenge will be announced on December 1st with a due date of December 31st!

Sketchy Thursday Challenge - Thanks for looking!

The BIG Announcement

It is official! As a participant of "The Use Your Stash Challenge" I was sad to see it end. As a participant I asked Kimmie and Corey if I could host a stash challenge on my personal blog. They agreed so... My first challenge will be December 1st and will be for the month of December. Rules and guidelines will be slightly different buy the concept of using our stash will be the same. I would love it if you would come and play along.

I will be renaming the challenge and choosing a design team. Any of the present "Use Your Stash" design team members that are interested in continuing in their role as a design team member will have first options. If you are interested in becoming part of the design team whether or not you are a current member of the UYS design team or not please place a comment below along with contact information. I will contact you as soon as possible!

I'm sooo excited and can't wait to get this going! If you have any comments or suggestions please feel free to leave comments below.
