When we decided to do a Christmas in July theme for the Blog Hop I had no idea what I would do. Then Saturday night, it came to me. I did the following layout - Christmas in July? It is actually pictures of Christmas decorations that are still out in my house. It has hidden journaling on the tag to the left that reads:
I love to decorate for Christmas - to get out the trees and all the many boxes of ornaments and decorations. I look forward to the weekend after Thanksgiving to decorate.
The problem is - I hate to un-decorate and put all the decorations away. This year I did manage to get the decorations off the trees by the end of January - the trees put away by the end of February - and got most of the other decorations at least taken down within the last few months.
These are just a few of the decorations that are still out - even though it’s July.
Now the quandary is - do we put them away now - or just leave them out until Christmas - after all it’s only 5 months away!
I couldn’t resist the wall hanging with this quote, I think it’s the perfect justification for leaving them out all year round!

  3. What a cute layout. I love the colors and the story is just too funny. I usually put my decorations away shortly after New Year's, but I always miss something and find it months later...LOL

  8. I love decorating for Christmas but don't like to take everything down and put it away. We usually take everything down after new years but it sits for about a month until I put it away.

  11. Love your blog and blog heading, looking forward to being a follower.

I have been known to leave a snowman decoration or two hanging out in the house long after the holidays...brings a smile to my face even during the hot steamy days of summer!
