Wow, I guess someone must be looking at my blog. I wish you'd let me know you were here. Why not check in - I'd love to know who has been here - and what you think of my newly created blog. This is all new to me, so if you have any suggestions as to how I could make this a nicer place to visit please let me know.

On the 15th (My Birthday) I will randomly draw a Prize winner from those who comment. For an extra chance to win - sign up to be a follower also. I Can't believe it! I won. My acceptance speech is on the Frosted Design blog! This is a lift of Debi T on 2 Peas - I love her work!

Frosted Design Challenge - a flourish!

Unpostable layout!

I'm working on a layout that will NOT be posted here. The title is: http://www.nakedniko.com/ - clicking on this will take you OUT of my blog. From the title can you figure out why I'm not going to be posting it?
He's actually playing on the computer naked!

Fun place to visit. Check it out. http://spunkyscrappers.ning.com/forum/topics/member-challenge-how-many-can?page=1&commentId=3632976%3AComment%3A4152&x=1

The Twist

This is my Sketchy Thursday Weekly Challenge based on this sketch.

It is also my Practical Scrappers weekly challenge which required the use of decorative scissors. I used decorative scissors to make the scallops on the green paper. Almost forgot I had them. I like the result - I plan to use them again real soon.

Note: the center picture has a circle cut out of the center which is then popped up to emphasize the twisting motion. I then put dots (with a paint pen) around the circle to empahsize the circle and to tie in the dots along the blue border.

Thanks for looking!

I'm SOOOOOOOOOO Excited!

My layout I love Cotton Candy actually is posted on the Sketchy Thusday site! I know it's probably silly to get excited over such a small thing - but it's not SMALL to me and I'm kinda SILLY anyway. Click on my Fave's of Sketchy Thursday in the sidebar and you can see my layout! Woo Hoo!

You Color Our World - RE-DO

This is a re-do of challenge #3 from the on-line crop on Friday. The challenge was to use all the colors in the rainbow. Once again, this was way outside my comfort zone - mostly due to the time restraints. I do like the re-done layout though. Hopefully you can tell which one is the before and which is the after! Thanks for looking!

Sketchy Thursday Bonus Sketch

Candy CarnivalThis is my layout based on the special bonus sketch from Sketchy Thursday this week. This is a layout of Niko eating Cotton Candy at the Cany Carnival. Thanks for looking!

Who Am I? Re-Do

I re-did Challenge 1 from the On-Line Crop. I think this version is much more my style! And everything IS attached this time. The original is further down in the post. What do you think?

i love Friday Scrap Night RE-DO

No way could I leave this like it was - so this is my re-do. Still not thrilled with it - but I think it's at least a little bit better.

ORIGINAL POST IS BELOW!

Who Am I?

This was the First Challenge We were suppose to use a picture of ourself (that alone was a task finding a picture of me) and use it to tell who we are. Way outside my box. I just happened to have these pictures because I had intended to do a layout with them - but then when I got them printed I decided they were too small. I had gotten the bling word which actually said ME ME ME from Wal-mart on clerarnce for $1.00. Of course I couldn't get my NEW White Sharpie Paint pen to write - or any other white pen for that matter. So, I ended up using a silver paint pen I won at my very first crop - 100 years ago in Temple! Remember those days Ms. Mary?
Okay, I promised to tell you the secret... On this page Nothing is glued down. I did actually have to iorn the ME ME on the black paper and the pics are actually attached to the mat - but the rest is just layed on the page - Yes, Mary that is why you can see the clear plastic backing on the flowers. My plan is to go back and actually redo this page - there just wasn't time to do the page and post it in an hour...
I'll come back later and report on the other challenges.

I love Friday

Challenge #2 was to scrap about why you love Friday. We were given a free digi kit to download! HAHAHAHAHA - that was a real joke - I struggled with it way too long - I was able to download it - but could never open it. I did end up opening 27 Windows of MSN - which I couldn't get rid of with out rebooting my computer. So, you'd think I'd learn right! I followed (at least I thought I did) one more suggestion as to how to open - once again I got 35 open windows.... So after rebooting the computer a 2nd time - I decided to go without the digi kit. Sooo now how do I express my love for Friday because it's scrap night. Pictures? So then I attempted to print some wallet size pics of different scrapbook related things. Of Course my printer is out of color ink - the pics don't print in wallet size and are unusable. So I try again - this time I decided to print them out as a collage. Once again, not at all the look I'm going for - but at least it's pictures. So as I'm waiting for the pics to print I set up a page... if that's what you want to call it. Once the pics were printed I laid it on the page - took pictures and posted them. Can we say stressful! At this point I was about in tears - and ready to quit. No that wasn't an option - if I failed it wouldn't be because I quit!
This page is sooooooooooo bad I'm not sure I'm even going to attempt to re-do it.

Thanks for listening to my vent!

Never Again!

The on line scrap was fun - but waaay to stressful. We were given a challenge every hour - and all 4 had to be completed and posted by 11:00. I made it & a card - but none are anything I'm proud of. I'll post them tomorrow and tell my secrets! As long as you promise not to tell anyone!

My First On-line Crop!

I'm so excited - I'm going to join the On Line Crop at 2 peas... I'm not sure what it entails - but I'm thinking it will be a lot of fun. Hope I can keep up! I'll let ya all know when it's all over with. Hopefully I'll have lots of things to share!

You can't win if you don't enter!

Isn't that how the saying goes? Well, apparently Mr. Linky didn't care for "How Cool is This?". My layout never really got linked to Sketchy Thursday's blog for this weeks challenge. Another lesson learned - ALWAYS check back and make sure the link went through.

Oh well, there is a Special Sketch this week which I have actually started - maybe it will have better luck with Mr. Linky. This is the Bonus Sketchy Thursday sketch for this week.

Bummed!

just had to say it!

Sugar & Spice? - Paper Popsicle Sketch

Here is my layout based on the sketch from Paper Popsicles. Not sure why Maddie's crying - but it makes you wonder about the Sugar & Spice thing! Thanks for looking!

HEY! 1 little INDIAN Boy made Top 10

Everyday www.twopeasinabucket.com has a Top 10 list - it's on the home page. The 10 gallery items that get the most hits or votes are placed on the list. I made the list!!!!!!

How Cool is This? - Sketchy Thursday Challenge

Wow is - this outside my box or what? The yellow is actually paint - and the black dots are randomly,(I don't do random), placed with a dotriffic pen!
When I showed it to Niko he read the title - and said "Cool". I asked "so you like it" to which he replied "No, it has too much white, you need to put flowers everywhere". He is my best (?) critic.

This will also double for the "Use your stash" challenge.

Another Design Team Rejection!

More Rejected layouts for Pink Sketch Design team. The Indian Boy layout was actually based on a sketch - the other page is actually the first page of a 2 page layout. I worked really hard on the sketch - but apparently it wasn't what they were looking for. I did not do a very good job of sending it - I messed up on the attachments - which probably didn't help any either. Oh well, another learning experience. I think I'm going to give up on the design team idea for now.

Here is a close up of the thumbprint indians - they even have googlie eyes!
